Our retirement project is a 1970’s party house. The master bath had a wall of mirrors, carpet, 7 foot sunken tub, 8 food skylight, rock wall planter and the list goes on. It was our design and we shopped for bargains, obtaining factory second tile, clearance tub and vanity and other deals. Using my favorite tool, a reciprocating saw, we cut out the giant tub and lowered the shower floor to create a slope. We were able to salvage fixtures, toilet, copper pipes, sinks, medicine cabinet, leftover tile and supplies, etc and offer free on a community website. All the items were taken and the people were thrilled to get items for their projects.
